Custom Diamond ATR Prisms for FTIR Spectroscopy
Dutch Diamond Group develops and manufactures precision diamond ATR prisms for FTIR spectroscopy, analytical instruments and customer specific optical systems. ATR stands for Attenuated Total Reflectance, an infrared spectroscopy technique that allows solid, liquid, powder and paste samples to be analysed with little or no sample preparation.
Diamond is particularly suitable for ATR applications because it combines broad optical transmission with exceptional hardness, chemical resistance and a smooth, wear resistant sample surface. Our diamond ATR components are available in square, rectangular, round, conical, spherical and window like geometries. They can be supplied as free standing diamond components or mounted in customer specific holders for direct integration into analytical instruments.
Geometry, optical surfaces, angle of incidence, sample contact area, mounting method and material grade can be adapted to the requirements of the application.
